When Lindsey first told me about her ideas to incorporate travel into her wedding stationery, I instantly fell in love! We both knew it would be so fun to make the invitation look and feel like a real boarding pass, complete with a QR code that directed guests to visit their wedding website. How cool is that?!
During their engagement session, I found this awesome Texas flag painted on the wall of a building in downtown Houston, which made for the perfect Save The Date postcard image! The back of the card has a cute vintage feel, reminiscent of old travel postcards you could send back to family and friends while on vacation. The bride wrote a sweet message on the back in her own handwriting and I incorporated it into the design.
No stationery suite is complete without matching thank you notes and a ceremony program for the big day! I used different icons representing the various parts of the ceremony and created an itinerary for guests that also (secretly) formed a map using the bride and groom’s initials – AWL. The bridal party was listed as a cute infographic and tied the whole thing together with a vintage airmail styled border in her wedding colors.
We had a few people ask if the boarding pass was for a real flight to the wedding … I’d call that a success!
